The ITECH IT6500C Series Wide-range & Auto-range High Power Programmable DC Power Supplies are single channel, fully-featured and high performance with fast response programmable DC power supplies which are designed and built to deliver reliable and stable DC power. The IT6500C Series are composed of 60 models with high resolution 10mV & 1mA in max, supporting panel list programming procedures, OVP/OCP/OPP/OTP protection functions, all providing the greatest test convenience. Whilst working with the optional IT-E500 Series Power Dissipater Unit, the IT6500C Series will function as electronic load.  With built-in CAN, RS232, USB, GPIB, LAN and external 0-10V Analog control interfaces, they can be used both on benchtop and systematical.   • Solar panel I-V curve simulation function: I-V curve output of the solar array can be influenced by climate factors such as light and temperature.  The IT6500C Series have built-in solar panel I-V curve simulation function, which supports maximum open-circuit current and maximum short-circuit current. 16 I-V curves in different conditions can be stored and recalled in IT6500 through setting the parameters, such as Voc, Isc, Vmp, and Imp.  It can be applied in MPPT (maximum power point tracking) performance tests for solar inverters, micro-inverters, and solar chargers.  With PC, the IT6500C Series can simulate more realistic I-V curves and up to 1024 points can be edited
  • Continuous source & sink testing: The IT6500C Series two-quadrant power supplies are not only simply a combination of a power supply and electronic load, but they are also continuous source and load. The two-quadrant current output ability provides seamless switching across two quadrants.  For traditional two-quadrant power supply, there will be a short jump and discontinuity across positive and negative currents.  As a high-speed two-quadrant power supply, the IT6500C Series (1800W-30000W) have a priority function in order to realize high-speed current transition between power supply mode and electronic load mode and to achieve fast seamless switching between sourcing and sinking current, effectively avoiding the overshoot of voltage or current.  This enables the IT6500C Series to be suitable for battery fast charging and discharging measurements without sacrificing accuracy and can be widely used in energy storage device testing, such as batteries, battery encapsulation and battery protection panel (See photo section)
  • Maintain excellent performance after paralleling: With built-in paralleling and current equally assigned capability, the IT6500C Series have built-in paralleling capability for up to 30kW and support multiple power supplies paralleling together in master-slave mode.  Even more it can ensure that each power supply equally shares the load current and they all remain in the desired mode.  In the traditional sense, when paralleling power supplies together, different power supplies will operate in different operation modes.  For instance, when two sets of power supplies are paralleled together, one will offer a majority of current in CC mode, and the other will offer only a small part of current in CV mode, which will degrade certain power supplies’ performance specifications.  The current equally assigned ability of IT6500C Series ensures each power supply equally sharing the load current via the attached cable and no degrading on the performance specifications.  The paralleling connection of the IT6500C Series can realize all the functions of a standalone unit.  That is a great way to add power flexibility to your test system.  What is particularly unusual is that after the expansion of power, the IT6500C Series can still maintain the excellent dynamic characteristics of the single unit to meet the I-V characteristic curve testing demanding a variety of high-power high-speed applications
  • Working with power dissipater unit, expanding load ability: The IT6500C Series can be used as both a power supply and an electronic load (with optional IT-E500 Series power dissipater unit), greatly enlarging and enriching the current working range of the power supplies and enables it to sink certain current and power, thus they can be widely applied in fast current falling test and batteries charging /discharging test.  Each IT-E500 Series power dissipater unit provides up to 3kW current sinking capability for the IT6500C Series power supplies. To meet higher power discharging test demand by paralleling multiple power dissipater units, the IT-E500 Series power dissipater unit can extend the current sinking capability up to 100%, the power sinking capability up to 300% (Max 90kW)

  • For every single model of IT6500C Series, no matter it is a single unit or multiple units paralleled together, the rise and fall time of each power supply in IT6500C Series are the same
  • No matter it is under the power supply mode (CV, CC, CP) or the electronic load mode (CC, CP), the IT6500C Series support independent adjustable rise/fall time setting in different modes, and the setting up range is 1ms-24h
  • Numerous types of tests probable including low voltage & high current test, high voltage & low current test and dynamic response test, soft start test, D/D converter cycle drop/sag/surge tests, life cycle test, line regulation and battery pulse charges test (See photo section)
  • Operation mode priority setting: The IT6500C Series power supplies are available for operation mode priority setting.  Users can chose the desired output mode through IT6500C Series menu. Take LED lamp test as an example, set CC mode as high priority, make the power supply change into CC mode to suppress the large current surge at turn on and protect DUTs, e.g. LED lamp or lasers etc. In this case, a LED lamp is tested by IT6500C Series power supply when CC mode is high priority, from the current and voltage waveform captured by an oscilloscope, we can see there is no overshoot current (See photo section)
  • Built-in DIN40839 & ISO-16750-2 test sequences: The automobile electronics devices often suffer the dropouts or surges from power turn-on or turn-off transient.  To ensure the DUT can stand up the severe world transients, it is necessary to simulate the worst-case power transient conditions.  The IT6500C Series power supplies provide built-in DIN40839 and ISO-16750-2 testing curves.  Users can select any built-in curve to do the DUT performance test directly according to their demand. 12V and 24V are available in choices
  • List mode: This allows user to create a sequence of steps, store it into the power supply’s non-volatile memory and execute it.  The input parameters for generating a list include the name of the list file, the input steps (no more than 150 steps), the step time (the minimum is 100ms) and the value of each step (See photo section)
  • Programmable output impedance: In battery charging and discharging test, the changes of internal resistance should be taken into account.  For enhancing test precision, the IT6500C Series power supplies provide built-in internal resistance setting function which can simulate battery operation status in real-case
  • Auto range technology: The IT6500C Series have adopted auto range technology in which one unit can replace multiple units with different specifications
  • Remote sense function can be used to compensate for voltage (up to1V) due to resistance from test leads connected to your device under test (DUT), thus providing more accurate output voltage. The power supply is initially setup to local sense mode by default (See photo section)
